First Frost — safety & allergens

Every Luminary candle carries its safety information printed on the base label. This page is the longer version — the fragrance oil behind First Frost, its declarable allergens, and the documents we hold for it.

The fragrance oil

Declarable allergens

For a candle the governing allergen declaration is the CLP EUH208 line, set out under Safety statements below — it is taken from the finished-candle safety data sheet and is the same wording printed on the base label. It is broader than the 26-allergen cosmetics list, because it also catches sensitisers such as OTNE and eucalyptol that the cosmetics list does not cover.

Safety statements

The supplier's finished-candle safety data sheet — both oils in wax at our 8% load — from Candle Shack's own tool, both components being theirs. At this dilution the candle is not classified at all: no hazard class, no signal word, no pictogram and no hazard statements. Because there is no classification, no precautionary statements attach to it either. This is the smallest label block in the range. The neat blend sheet filed the same day reads very differently and does not apply to the finished candle.

Contains Eucalyptol, Linalool, Linalyl acetate, alpha-Pinene, d-Limonene. May produce an allergic reaction.

Using your candle safely

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep away from children, pets and draughts. Trim the wick to 5 mm before each use, and burn for no more than four hours at a time. There’s a fuller guide on our candle care page.

Questions about allergens or ingredients? Email us at hello@theluminary.uk — we hold the full safety data sheets for every oil we pour and are happy to share them.
